Franklin has always embodied the charm of yesterday with the benefits of today. We have the incredible benefit of a local library, located in the center of the village, convenient for all, that meets the needs of today with the friendliness and ease of yesterday. The Friends of the Franklin Public Library are a local group of supporters who are committed to keeping our library vital and interesting. We would love to have every villager in Franklin become our "friend."

Membership would allow you to be a part of keeping our library growing with exciting programs and initiatives. In the past year we have successfully sponsored many programs, including the very popular Summer Reading Program. We support adult reading programs and keep our audio book selections the best in the area. Many of you have noticed the improvements to the grounds; the Friends could assist in maintaining our award-winning landscaping with your help. We would welcome your ideas and participation.

Michael Gorman of the American Libraries has written: "Though huge libraries can inspire awe, it is very often the small library that inspires affection. In the end, it's the human scale and the human relationships that count in the library usage as in the rest of life" That about sums up our small library. Come and be a part of all that it has to offer.
